This simple effective radiolucent device, made of durable plexiglass, neatly fits flush with the O.R. table and provides a safe "ledge" for the surgeon to lean on or against.

The Surgical Arm Shield prevents the patients arm from falling over the side of the O.R. table and the possible dislodgement of the I.V. and intra-arterial lines.

It provides more accurate blood pressure readings and assists in the prevention of accidental ulnar nerve damage in the O.R. by preventing the accidental "leaning on" of the patients arm or blood pressure cuff during surgery.

The Surgical Patient Arm Shield may be easily washed and disinfected, and should be readily accepted by members of the Hospital's Risk Management Committee.
