The Propper Flip-Tip blade is a modification of the traditional MacIntosh blade designed to improve visualization of the larynx, and it can assist in both non-complicated and difficult intubations. The instrument is especially suitable in situations of unpredictable airway conditions - in emergency rooms, ambulance service, etc. Manipulation with the Propper Flip-Tip laryngoscope does not require additional training and reduces risk of teeth breaking and laryngeal tissue injury. The Flip-Tip blade can simplify elevation of the epiglottis for the following conditions: - Spine or head trauma
- Reduced thyromental distance
- Short or immobilized neck
- Obesity
- Swollen tissue of the larynx
- Pregnancy
- Prominent upper teeth
- Poor mouth opening
- Enlarged tongue and its backward position
